Our team riders have been absolutely killing it the last two weeks in all forms of skating!
Skateboarding team:
We are so stoked with our two team riders Izzy and Hailey for getting 2nd and 3rd respectively in the girls division of Skate Titans at Esk on April 14.

Ash has also been busy skating and it’s paying off! On the weekend, he finally landed the 540 he’s been working on during a fun session with his mate Charlie at Elanora.
It’s so great to see all the young guys skating so well! We can’t wait to see what they achieve in the future because they are only just getting started!
Downhill team:
The Australian leg of the downhill circuit just wrapped on the weekend after Newton’s Nation at Bathurst and Tame The Taipan on the Gold Coast. Both races had tons of high intensity skating with lots of thrills and spills.
Newton’s Nation:
All the boys absolutely killed it especially Zane, Koz and Sol who were putting down some seriously fast times at Newtons. Zane broke the minute mark during his qualifying time which is a HUGE achievement (We are so proud of you Zane) and Sol was not far off with a time of 1:00.66. Korey also rocked up to his first IDF race and dropped a super hot time of 1:01.57 which a track veteran would be stoked about, let alone for someone’s first time! Both Adam and Jack broke their goals and achieved the times they were chasing with Adam getting 1:05.68 (an amazing time considering he only just started skating again!) and Jack getting 1:02.12.
However the best part of Newton’s was watching Bathurst local, Mitch Thompson, take out the win at his home track, on top of that being the first aussie to win an IDF world cup race! Congrats Mitty!

Tame the Taipan:
Taipan was a different beast to Newton’s, i.e. less about getting the fastest time and more about making it to the finish line in once piece. The weekend saw many thrills and spills especially in the consi final with aussie favorites, Mitch and Josh crashing out at the gnarliest part of the track. Luckily, there were no major injuries so the boys will be sweet to keep dominating overseas. Zane, Sol and Koz continued to shred making the hill look far safer than it actually was by taking tons of fun runs and Koz stoked everyone out with his many stand-up runs! Congrats to Sol for making it to the 2nd round of finals as well! Also shout outs to Nick Broms for taking out the opens final at this insane hill! To think that he’s only 16 makes me wonder if anyone will actually have a chance against him in the years to come.

Best of luck to all those heading over to the Philippines this week for the races over there!
